The Truth and the Lie

Often in zazen, I find myself looking at the burden I carry from the past.

This is the lie. The past cannot exist. The lie cannot exist, because only truth exists.

So it is not a case of pursuing or seeking truth as this will just create more confusion. It is a case of looking deep into the lies as seeing the lies, will evaporate them and expose the truth.

Trust that it is True! Because it is So.

My karma and is an ancient chaos, and there are no guarantees that I will transcend it just because I desire to do so. But that that is what this spiritual growth business is about - no guarantees. I need to develop trust, unreasonable as that may be! But such is Zen

Paradoxically there is a need to stop searching, and just drop the doubts that enlightenment is already a fact.  Trust that it is true.

Truth moves and manifests in the present moment. It is true that I breathe in and out, because it is so. It is true what my eye see, because it is so. It is true what my ear hears, because it is so. This is truth. See it unfold! Here! Now! This is it!

Take care of the present with mindfulness, the present flows deep. Keep going with this flow. This is the method of Zen.

Zen and the Law of Evolution

Through my Zen experience I have found that good thoughts and feelings about my fellow human-beings come about because of the law of evolution, but I have to be willing for that to happen by living with Truth and working on applying forgiveness where it is needed, because others are just a reflection of who I am.

What is so about people today, is so, but it doesn’t mean that it is always going be the way it is. Life is a process of change, growth and development, if we are willing for it to be that way, transformation will happen quite rapidly, but as I see it, for some time yet, we will continue to be challenged by our friend, the ego.

Sharing Zen

Zen isn’t exactly something that it taught. Zen is more about individuals sharing their experiences of higher states of consciousness. This act of sharing is an invitation to those seeking enlightenment to examine the shared experiences for themselves. This is why zazen is so important so that one can see for oneself the truths that come from the sharing of other practitioners and not just blindly believe what has been shared as truth.  There is no right way, no wrong way, as that suggests comparison to what has gone before and is no more.

Communication can be with or without words. Sometimes just a look can be enough, and silence can deliver some pretty powerful Zen truths and enlightenment.
